★★★★☆
None in Uganda. No Ugandan authority licenses or supervises crypto exchanges, and Bank of Uganda does not recognise crypto as legal tender.
Regulator (Local Clients)
Ugandan shilling (UGX) via mobile money and a UGX peer-to-peer market, both documented on Binance's own pages.
Local Currency Support
Binance's own guidance describes mobile-money sell orders completing in well under a minute; peer-to-peer settlement depends on the counterparty.
Speed
Ugandans who need a shilling on and off ramp rather than a crypto-only wallet.

Type
Pros
- UGX support is documented by Binance itself, including a mobile-money sell route and a UGX peer-to-peer market.
- Liquidity and asset choice are far deeper than any locally focused alternative.
- Peer-to-peer trading keeps a route open even where banks will not touch crypto.
Cons
- Crypto prices are volatile and you can lose everything you put in; there is no protection if the value collapses.
- No investor-protection scheme, deposit insurance or Ugandan regulator stands behind your balance, and Bank of Uganda has said holders are not protected if their holdings lose value.
- Bank of Uganda warned licensed payment-system entities in April 2022 not to facilitate crypto transactions, and a 2023 High Court ruling held crypto is not a lawful payment instrument - so bank and mobile-money rails can be withdrawn at short notice.
